Hilton and Marsden join ShortList Media board

LONDON - ShortList Media, the publisher of free weekly titles ShortList and Stylist, has appointed two of its executives, Karl Marsden and Phil Hilton, to its operating board.

The appointment of managing director Karl Marsden, a former IPC executive, and editorial director Phil Hilton, the founding editor of lads’ title Zoo, will take the executive board from eight to ten-strong.

Current members of the board include Mike Soutar, chief executive of ShortList Media; Sir David Arculus, chairman of ShortList Media, and Tim Ewington, one of the founding partners of Crash Test Media, the media start up which begat ShortList.

As part of the change, Marsden, who has been with the business since the launch of ShortList in 2007, will shift focus to the day-today general management of the business.

ShortList Media followed the launch of ShortList with the launch of sister women’s title Stylist at the end of last year.
