Hicklin Slade recruits Thwaites to head digital accounts

LONDON - Hicklin Slade & Partners has appointed Dan Thwaites, formerly of RMG Connect, as its director of digital to work on the company's eCRM strategies for Honda and Camelot.

Thwaites began his career at DM agency Payne Stracey and founded New Marketing Technologies in 1996. The business was sold in 2000 to the WPP-owned Concept, before eventually merging with RMG Connect in 2002, where Thwaites was made strategy and planning director.

Mark Runacus, partner at Hicklin Slade, said: "I've worked with Dan at RMG and he really understands consumer choice and control.

"Brands understand they have to substantially invest in engaging content and new levels of interactivity to successfully attract consumer attention and are looking for agencies to help them."

Thwaites was deemed to have the necessary experience to bolster Hicklin Slade & Partners' ePRM and eCRM strategies, having previously worked on campaigns for B&Q, Mercedes-Benz, HSBC and Shell at RMG Connect.
