Heroes joins Twitter for DVD push

LONDON - Universal Playback is to harness the popularity of Twitter, with an application offering users exclusive footage of cult sci-fi TV show Heroes to promote the release of Season 3 on DVD.

The company has created a , which leads to an application on Twitter.

Once a user has downloaded the application to their Twitter account, a Tweet is automatically shared on their status update.

It says: "Watch a world exclusive #Heroes video to celebrate Season 3 on DVD and Blu-Ray -- free in exchange for just one tweet."

The content features behind the scenes footage from Season 3, along with a world exclusive interview with Heroes actor and Twitter user Greg Grunberg.
