The launch issue, priced at £2.99, hits newsstands this Thursday with a print run of 64,000 and a giveaway travel planner produced in association with Lonely Planet travel guides. Each issue will be saddle-stitched and come with a covermount.
The target audience is professionals taking career breaks, early retirers, gap year students and people travelling for work, charity and adventure sports.
Chris Kempster, the magazine's publisher, said: "We're aiming to expand the travel magazine market with Real Travel, as we think there's a lot of people who are passionate about travel but can't find an existing magazine that reflects their interest."
Hedrush Media also publishes International DJ and the Music Industry Manual.
