The A5-format magazine will feature previews and listings of clubs in the UK and Ibiza for the 2003 summer clubbing and holiday season, and will be distributed in the UK and on the holiday island.
The guide will have a print run of 40,000 throughout June, July and August, 20,000 of which will be distributed as a covermount with IDJ (International DJ) magazine.
As many as 14,000 copies of the guide will be handed out in Ibiza to clubbers, while 2,000 will be distributed free on flights between the UK and the Balearic island. Another 4,000 copies of the title will be distributed free at festivals and clubs in the UK. The first issue will be available from May 30.
News of the guide follows last week's announcement by club brand Pacha that it is launching an Ibiza-based clubbing magazine.
The brand, which has its flagship club in Ibiza and a venue in London, will target 16- to 35-year-olds with the magazine.
It is to be edited by former founder and editor of IPC Media's Muzik magazine and Worldpop.com Ben Turner.
The launches come at a troubled time for the clubbing sector, which has seen the demise of Liverpool super club Cream, as well as Ministry magazine. Meanwhile, IPC's Muzik magazine is struggling to close the gap on rival Emap's Mixmag. In the last set of ABCs, Muzik had a circulation of 36,089, behind Mixmag's 60,070.
