He joins from digital marketing agency Panlogic where he worked as head creative.
In his new role he will build on Haygarth's current digital credentials and work with a number of its digital clients which include Gillette, directory service 118 118, Nokia and Dairy Crest.
Alex Lloyd, joint managing director at Haygarth, said: "This is a new role at the company because we decided it was time to invest in someone very senior to drive our digital division forward."
The company wants to "step up" its digital business after seeing a continuous growth of digital clients over the past five years.
Haygarth has recently won briefs from The Learning Skills Council and Walt Disney Studios DVD.
