Havas launches Euro RSCG Life out of merged agencies

NEW YORK - French advertising group Havas is shaking up the healthcare arm of Euro RSCG Worldwide, shifting all of its agencies globally under a new umbrella to form Euro RSCG Life.

The launch of Euro RSCG's new fully integrated global health marketing and communications group follows Grey Global Group's expansion of its healthcare network, and the launch of Omnicom Group-owned BBDO Worldwide's direct-to-consumer healthcare division.

Euro RSCG Life will align the agency's 44 health-focused offices to create a single network with almost 1,000 employees. It will offer advertising, PR, event management, medical education, consumer advertising and interactive services.

The realignment sees Sander Flaum promoted from his role of CEO of Robert A. Becker Euro RSCG to the chairman role at Euro RSCG Life, while Ron Pantello, former CEO of Euro RSCG Healthview, will be the chief executive officer.

"In the coming year, we will likely face greater consolidation within the sector, and the introduction of new guidelines that will directly affect pharmaceutical pricing. With this network restructure, we are uniquely qualified to best help our clients navigate these issues and achieve their goals," Flaum said.

Bob Schmetterer, chairman and CEO of Euro RSCG Worldwide, said: "Offering integrated solutions to address the distinct needs within each facet of the health business is critical."
