
The Italian-born duo has created six one-off pizzas for the occasion, including vegetarian options.
Pepe will bring the flavours and pizza-making practices of his restaurant Pepe in Grani, which is located just outside Naples, to the pop-up, meanwhile the Verona-born Padoan, who has been credited with inventing ‘the new Italian pizza’, will be bringing a slice of his restaurant, I Tigli di San Bonifacio to the fore.
The pop-up has been devised in association with Identità Golose, an international cooking convention that takes place in cities including London, New York and Milan. The event counts Birra Moretti, Acqua Panna S. Pellegrino and Lavazza among its sponsors.
Pizza Gourmet will be located at Harrods Pizzeria and Canti Prosecco Bar, on the second floor of the department store's building. It will open from 12-9pm on Tuesday through Friday, and from 11.30am until 9pm on Saturday.
Harrods has also teamed up with at The Steakhouse restaurant within its Food Halls from 2-8 November. Diners will be able to enjoy a three-course menu that showcases his signature creations, with each course to be paired with wine.
