Event TV: Interactive Fabergé egg installation at Harrods

Projection Artworks teamed up with Just So to create a projection mapped Fabergé egg for Harrods' Easter window this month.

The on a 1.5m 3D egg-shaped model and has an interactive touch-screen element to showcase Fabergé’s jewellery designs.  

The window uses DisplayMapper technology, which works by applying large amounts of light to relatively small areas, allowing the projections to be visible in daylight.

Inside the store, the pop-up Fabergé Egg Bar will be selling some of the jeweller’s most famous designs. 

Projection mapping technology company, Projection Artworks, produced the digital content and projection element, with creative agency Just So overseeing the five-window display project.

The month-long installation at celebrates the lead-up to Easter. 

Tom Burch, managing director of Projection Artworks, said: "This kind of installation would never have been feasible a few years ago and the projectors would have been enormous. The continuing development of projector technology is constantly opening up exciting opportunities in retail, even in high levels of ambient light. This is genuinely daylight-visible."
