The event, which coincided with National Running Day, saw participants meet at Happy Socks' store in Seven Dials, London at 7.30am, where they embarked on a five-kilometre run throughout the capital.

Fitness First personal trainer Phoebe Begg led the run, meanwhile representatives from natural soft drinks brand Cawston Press provided refreshments on the day.

Participants were automatically entered into a prize draw to win a pair of Happy Socks for each week of the year, as well as a three-month gym membership at Fitness First.

The event sought to raise awareness of the Happy Days charity as well as promote the launch of Happy Socks' new Athletic collection.

Proceeds from the Athletic collection sales prior to, and on the day of the event were donated to the charity, which supports some of the UK's most vulnerable children.
