The campaign is called "Glamour Month", and runs across the site from March 1. Online editorial content for the campaign is sponsored by Nivea, which is launching its new Q10 Firming Cream.
The advertising will appear in titles including Cosmopolitan, Company, New Woman, Glamour, Eve and daily and weekly publications including Heat and the London freesheet Metro.
Online, the campaign will appear on GMTV, Channel 4, MSN, AOL and Virgin websites. Media for the campaign was through MindShare, and the advertising was created in house.
The campaign is designed to raise awareness of the Handbag brand, and recruit new users to the site. Part of the campaign is a prize draw for a holiday in New York, as well as hundreds of beauty products.
Handbag.com has also linked with the magazine Eve, in a contra deal. This will include an online poll of women's favourite Oscar night gowns.
Alicen Stenner, brand director of Handbag.com, said: "While we all love looking at celebrity glamour, Glamour Month is all about saying to our readers that glamour is not just for celebrities, in some small way it's something that we can all enjoy on an everyday basis."
Handbag.com is a joint venture between Boots and Hollinger Telegraph New Media.
