Plans are in motion to build a two-tiered structure to create an industrial Global Airways air hanger that can hold up to 300 guests. The lower floor will have a bar and dance floor, with exclusive secret sets from some of GlobalGathering’s line-up.
The upper tier will provide a luxurious twist on an airport lounge for guests to relax and socialise, decorated with old airline memorabilia.
The concept is inspired by key features of the venue - Long Marston Airfield - which includes old runways, abandoned airplanes and industrial hangers.
This is the second year The Halo Group has produced the festival’s VIP experience. In 2011, it created a treehouse area in the exclusive woodland for VIP guests.
Sam Matthews, creative director of The Halo Group, said: "We aim to push the boundaries at The Halo Group… in this case, immersing them in a story continued at every turn to make it an unforgettable experience. GlobalGathering shares a similar vision for the VIP arenas, so we are very excited to be returning to Long Marston again for 2012."
