Hair brand ghd hires global brand director

LONDON - Hair styling brand ghd has appointed Guy Longworth as its global brand director.

Longworth, who is based in California, will be responsible for leading the development and execution of ghd's marketing strategies and planning across the brand's markets.

He has previously held senior positions at Procter & Gamble, Kraft Foods, Kellogg's and Marlow Foods and for the last two years was CEO of an internet communications business based in San Francisco. 

ghd's UK marketing team will continue to be headed up by its group marketing director Sarah Lambley, who will report to Longworth. Lambley joined the agency in November 2006 and her responsibilities cover international marketing planning, campaign executions and agency relationships.
