The Guardian "own your weekend or someone else will" by BBH

The Guardian is back with its "own the weekend" campaign, only this time it is threatening readers with what would happen if they let someone else dictate their free time.

For the latest phase of the activity, Bartle Bogle Hegarty created three humorous TV ads, each showing some unwitting sap having a miserable weekend – at a children’s party, watching a fun run in the rain – because they let someone else make plans for them. The spots end by explaining how The Guardian and The Observer are filled with things you actually want to do. The work was created by Jack Smedley and George Hackforth-Jones, and directed by James Rouse through Outsider.
