The new agreement extends the partnership between Graydon and Thomson to more than a decade. It is the result of a tendering process, which involved testing of the data elements needed by Graydon for its commercial credit information and credit risk management services.
Chris Oatts, head of database services at Graydon, said: "In order to provide our customers with the best credit information products and services, we continually evaluate the market for suitable data providers to enhance our offerings. Following stringent testing, we were satisfied that Thomson Directories can provide Graydon with the best quality and the depth of data for our needs."
Gordon Skaljak, head of marketing for Graydon in the UK, added: "This agreement will ensure that Graydon confidently ranks as one of the leading providers of commercial credit information in the UK over the long term. This long-term deal is an exciting opportunity for both parties, ultimately benefiting users of Graydon's online information service."
Thomson Directories said that the re-signing of the license was a significant endorsement of the quality and usability of its data.
Mary Whatley, business information manager for Thomson Directories, said: "We are particularly pleased that Graydon has again chosen to use the Thomson Database. This level of confidence is a testament to the quality of our data, its accuracy and its reliability."
