Thomson Directories launches pay-as you go service

LONDON - Thomson Directories, the local directories publisher, has developed a pay-as-you-go direct marketing package to drive new customers to business websites.

The pay-as-you go package works in a way so that customers only pay when someone clicks through to the site.

WebFinder is a search engine marketing service developed by Thomson Directories to promote sites on some of the UK's top search sites including Wanadoo, Ask Jeeves, Tiscali and Streetmap.

In addition, Business Search Pro has been launched as part of the package, which enables users to use any combination of search criteria to build bespoke, targeted direct mail and telesales lists.

The annual subscription fee is 拢200 and will enable users to segment and see all the data on screen before cherry-picking the records they want to download.

While Business Search Pro can be used as the basis for a telemarketing campaign so results can be tracked, WebFinder provides the facilities to track results by individual keywords.

Karen Francis, internet channel marketing manager at Thomson, said: "Neither of these lead-generating services involve the high up-front costs that some marketing techniques demand and both are highly targeted so the potential of sales leads is greater."
