The Marlow-based company’s four events businesses – Grass Roots Live, Grass Roots HBI, Grass Roots DMS and Grass Roots Events – are in the process of being amalgamated.
The anticipated number of redundancies from the move is expected to remain in the low teens but will affect roles across the business.
David Hackett, deputy chairman of events at Grass Roots, said: "It is regrettable to have to reduce headcount but as we redefine our go-to-market proposition we must fit to compete."
Jon Shilling, divisional director for communications, will manage the operation until a single replacement is appointed, while Warren Hillier’s role, divisional director for events, remains at risk.
"The whole process should be completed by the first week of May," said Hackett.
"What we have been able to do is move people within the business. Grass Roots is a very big employer. We haven’t reached a point where we have said this man is no longer for the business - we have said this part of the business needs to have a singular leader. Warren’s a great man and I should be delighted if there were a place for him elsewhere in the company."
