In the UK five people have been confirmed as having been infected with swine flu. The number of suspected cases is around the 70 mark but this figure fluctuates as new cases emerge and others are ruled out.
In a move which signals how seriously the government is taking the threat, a mass door-drop campaign containing advice about basic steps that people can take to avoid infection will also be sent to every household in the country over the next week.
The campaign uses the strapline, ‘Catch it, kill it, bin it', and advises the public to cover their mouths when they sneeze and dispose of tissues. It also recommends that surfaces are kept clean. It was created by DDB London with media handled by Mediaedge:cia.
