Gosper quits McCann after a year for job at TBWA

LONDON – Brett Gosper is moving to TBWA to become the president of the New York Group after less than a year as the general manager at McCann Erickson.

The newly created role will put Gosper in charge of the New York office of TBWA and several of its sister agencies.

The move comes less than a year after John Dooner, the chairman and chief executive of McCann, lured Gosper to take the role of general manager at the agency. Gosper moved to McCann's flagship New York office in November.

Australian-born Gosper was previously based in the UK, where he was the co-chairman of Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper, the agency he launched with Mark Wnek, the creative director.

In his new role, Gosper report directly to a former collegue, Jean-Marie Dru, who is now the worldwide president and chief executive at TBWA. The pair worked together at BDDP.
