Gmap launches data service for car dealers

LONDON - Automotive data marketing firm Gmap has launched a new data analysis and bureau service for car dealers called Motorvision.

Motorvision is intended to help dealers make the most of their customer databases, target the areas offering the most local opportunity, stock the correct vehicles and then find more customers.

Kirk Dobie, managing director of Gmap, said: "From speaking to our existing dealer customers, we knew there was the demand for effective local marketing support and that we had the experience and resources required to provide our customers with the required services to ensure tangible returns from their investment."

"Based on our market analysis work and in particular our stock profiling work, we also help many of our dealer clients turn more used cars. One of our clients has used our information to stock the cars locally in demand and in doing so, his stock turn has risen from eight to 12," he added.

Gmap provides dealers with new and used marketing services such as customer and vehicle profiling and verification, prospect management, local market analysis, site assessment and sales planning.

It is part of the Skipton Information Group which delivers information solutions to clients in the areas of network planning, marketing and credit referencing.
