The expansion has come to help Gmap deal with significant growth in the manufacturer and dealer teams. The firm's automotive division sits alongside Gmap's existing retail, forecourt, and financial services divisions.
Joining to work alongside Fowler is Karen Bamford, who joins as business development manager.
Fowler arrives at Gmap with a number of years sales experience within the automotive industry and has more recently held senior sales positions in the marketing and retail data arena.
Bamford has worked within the automotive industry for more than 12 years and has previously worked for the Vauxhall Adapt Marketing and, more recently, she was regional dealer marketing manager for BMW UK. For the last four years, she has provided marketing consultancy to the major dealer groups.
Gmap provides market intelligence to a number of clients around the world, including manufacturers such as Ford of Europe, Ford of Britain, Mazda, Jaguar, Land Rover Suzuki, Volvo, in addition to several large dealer groups in the UK.
