SGR Colchester, Ipswich, Horizon Radio, Chiltern Radio, Bedford and Dunstable, Hereward FM, Radio Broadland, Q103 and Northants 96 became Heart stations at 6am yesterday (5 January).
The majority of the day parts will now be networked besides local breakfast shows from 6am to 10am, and local afternoon shows from 1pm to 7pm.
The refreshed weekend network shows are now collectively called Feel Good All Weekend and launch on Saturday (10 January). Featured are Heart’s most prominent presenters, including Jason Donovan and Toby Anstis, and the networked shows will play across the weekend. The individual shows are called: Club Classics, Heartbreakers, The Time Tunnel and Chilled Sunday.
Chilled Sunday, running from 4am to 12pm, will be hosted by Paul Hollins from 4am to 8am, followed by a presenter at each local Heart station from 8am to 12pm.
Existing feature, The Time Tunnel, will now be extended across Saturday and Sunday, featuring the most popular songs from the past 30 years. It is broadcast daily from 9am to 10am, including during Chilled Sunday.
Club Classics rounds off Saturday night from 7pm to 12am, with the biggest dance floor fillers presented by Paul Hayes. This will be increased from two to six nights a week (Monday to Saturday).
Heartbreakers, hosted by Simon Beale, from 10pm to 1am on a Saturday night, plays love songs and will now run five nights a week (Sunday to Thursday) across the Heart network.
Heart’s presenters will continue to present their networked shows across the weekend.
The nine rebranded stations join the original Heart stations in London, Birmingham and Nottingham.
