Global Radio signs Microsoft

LONDON - Global Radio has signed one of its biggest commercial deals to date, securing Microsoft as headline sponsor of 95.8 Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball, plus "significant" activity across the Heart network.

Under the deal, brokered by UM London, Microsoft's new operating system, Windows 7, will be the headline sponsor of the Jingle Bell Ball, Global Radio's flagship winter music event. Global Radio declined to specify the value of the deal. The event will feature Lady GaGa, JLS, Tinchy Stryder and Lily Allen.

The activity is designed to promote awareness of the new version of Windows 7, which launches on 22 October, and includes print promotion, branding throughout the event venue, the 02 Arena, and extensive branded broadcast promotion.

The campaign is part of a larger partnership deal secured between UM London, Microsoft and Global Radio which will include Windows 7 promotion across the Heart radio network.
