From 21 October, Schrier will join Global's commercial department where she will be responsible for developing strategies for bothclients and agencies, and increasing new business across the company's portfolio.
She brings more than 10 years' agency experience to the role, including five years at Initiative and five years at PHD, and has worked with some of the biggest FMCG clients in the business.
Most recently at Mindshare, Schrier has worked with Pepsi, Cereal Partners and Tourism Ireland.
At Global, she will report to director of commercial strategy Stuart Mays and joins the newly created team that includes former Telegraph director Nick Russell and recent ZenithOptimedia planning director Mark Hatwell.
Mays highlighted Schrier's "hugely impressive track record" in driving new business and working with clients and called her "the perfect person" to complete the team.
The radio company restructured its business in the second quarter of the year and placed a greater emphasis on commercial strategy.
In April, Global Radio reorganised its 370-strong regional sales operation into five groups and named a new regional senior management team.
The five regions, which mirror the five TV regions used in commercial TV, are: North, Central, Anglia, Meridian and West Country.
Schrier said she had always been "passionate about radio" and was excited to be joining the thriving new Global Radio team. "Global is a privately owned company that is investing an awful lot of money into the medium right now," she added.
"We're at the start of an exciting, brand new era for commercial radio, and I'm looking forward to being a part of that."
