
The flat was kitted out with a Burger King kitchen and counter complete with an employee from the restaurant chain. It was then listed on local real estate websites for approximately half of its market value to encourage apartment-hunters to book a viewing.
Prospective tenants were then shown around the apartment before walking into the kitchen and being confronted with the fully-functioning miniature Burger King.
Hidden cameras were placed around the venue to record the reactions of surprised Spaniards and uploaded on YouTube. The experience took La Despensa three days to conceive, while the apartment took weeks to source.
