Givenchy to sponsor Sky Oscars coverage

LONDON - Givenchy, the French fragrance house, is to sponsor Sky's 2008 Academy Awards coverage in a six-figure deal that encompasses TV, video-on-demand and online ads.

Givenchy will sponsor Sky’s coverage for the fourth year running, with the campaign focused on its new eau de toilette, Ange ou Démon.

The deal includes sponsorship of all Oscars programming, including the live ceremony on Sky Movies Premiere, the Red Carpet Arrival Show and Oscars Highlights Show on Sky One, Oscar Winners Season on Sky Movies Drama, an Oscar winners biography special on The Biography Channel, and Inside The Actors’ Studio on Sky Arts.

Givenchy will also sponsor Sky’s Oscars website, as well as other Sky portals, including Sky Movies and Sky Showbiz. The perfume company will also support Sky’s video-on-demand coverage, with bespoke pre-rolls around Oscars programming, available exclusively on Sky Anytime PC.

Givenchy will also sponsor an interactive red-button “predict-the-winners” competition to win tickets to the Oscars next year.
