GB Group tracks consumers about to move home

LONDON - GB Group has launched a new data source allowing companies to identify people who are about to move home.

GB Group has sourced the data from partners involved in the final stages of the conveyancing process, when residential property searches are completed.

According to the company it provides 80% certainty that someone is about to move home with a timescale up to 10 weeks in advance of them moving.

The pre-homemovers data is the first of a new range of lifestage data sources GB plans to launch over the next 12 months, under the 4C-UK brand.

In addition, it is planning to be capable of delivering all data to clients via the internet by the end of 2006.

David Green, business development director at GB Group, said: "Being able to contact them during this period is extremely valuable and also gives a business the opportunity to record a customer's new address.

"Consumers changing house are also in 'spend' mode -- research shows that they spend an average of £15,000 in the first 12 months after moving."
