The revamped sister website to Gaydar.co.uk sees improved functionality including new and improved chatrooms, keyword searches, photo albums and the ability to search for girls by postcode.
The relaunch is backed by an extensive through-the-line marketing campaign, which combines cross-media promotion on Gaydar Radio, Rainbow Network and Gaydar Travel with special sponsorship-led events in bars and clubs across London, Manchester and Brighton this December.
Trevor Martin, QSoft Consulting marketing director, said: "Since its launch, Gaydargirls has become a well known and trusted part of today's modern lesbian lifestyle.
"This revamp, which follows extensive research, is aimed at growing our reach and appeal further through a combination of richer content and more powerful search tools, which appeal to those women who are either looking for lifetime partners or simply want to hook up with friends."
According to Gaydar research, 64% of visitors use the site to make friends, while 55% log on to chat. A further 48% visit the site once or more a day with 51% spending up to three hours a day online.
Measurement firm Hitwise gives Gaydargirls an 84% monthly market share of the lesbian market compared with rivals GirlMeetsGirl, which has 17%, and Gay.com, which has 5.8%.
