Gartmore hands integrated work to Rapier

LONDON - Gartmore, the investment management company, has appointed Rapier to handle its £3m integrated business ahead of a press and direct-response poster campaign later this month.

The activity will promote Gartmore investment funds to UK consumers and independent financial advisers.

It is not known whether the incumbent, Clark McKay & Walpole, was involved in the pitch for the business.

Gartmore currently reaches out to potential investors through its sponsorship of the Barbarians rugby union team. However, the deal is due to expire next month.

Gartmore's owner, US mutual insurer Nationwide, put the firm up for sale at the end of December as part of a strategic review. Morgan Stanley is handling the sale.
