Bischoff joined the company in 2004 as senior crew chief and moved into a client liaison role in 2009. He left in 2012 to work in business development for coffee company CafePod.
In his new role at Gallowglass, he will be responsible for the group’s event industry training company, Gallowglass Training, which launched in 2011 to extend the in-house training structure providing NEBOSH and PLASA certification to staff.
Bischoff said: "I’ve been willingly seduced back to the event industry - and my year’s sabbatical has shown me just how far the bar has been raised in expectations of gold-standard event delivery. Many companies are taking speed, efficiency and safety really seriously nowadays, while others simply want to operate within the law. Either way, training has become an essential, not a luxury."
He added the company has seen a rising demand for training in a number of areas including manual handling, first aid, risk assessment and sustainable event management.
"We’re also able to offer bespoke courses anywhere, so there’s a massive potential for the business. Gallowglass Training has progressively grown its UK client base and we’re delighted to be taking our expertise overseas."
