NGamer, which will be led by Edge editor-in-chief Tony Mott, will also feature in-depth coverage of all Nintendo news, following on from titles such as Total! and Super Play.
The editor of the magazine will be Mark Green, formerly of N64 Magazine, NGC and Nintendo Europe.
NGamer will deliver a monthly edition of more than 100 pages, with news, previews, features and a dedicated retro section, and will include a DVD with the latest games trailers and related footage.
James Binns, Future publisher, said: "With the DS selling over a million in the UK and the Wii looming large, there is a great demand among gamers for high-quality Nintendo editorial, and NGamer will cater to this need."
Green said: "We've got the best and most knowledgeable Nintendo writers in the business -- and we're determined to cram every page with enough stuff to make our designers weep."
The first issue of NGamer goes on sale on July 13 with a cover price of £4.99 and will receive cross-marketing support across Future's print and web portfolio.
