Future already publishes the computer title MacFormat, which launched in 1993 and offers advice and guidance on the latest Apple Mac technology.
Tap! is aimed at both consumers who are new to the Apple iPhone and iPad devices, and those who are dedicated enthusiasts.
It is said to offer expert advice to guide consumers on the variety of apps, games and accessories available for their Apple products.
There are around a quarter of a million apps now available for download from the Apple App Store.
The bi-monthly will be available in print with a cover price of £5, alongside a paid-for iPhone and iPad app, the prices of which have yet to be confirmed. The title will be launched on 26 November alongside the website Tapmag.co.uk.
The magazine has been launched by the team behind Future’s existing Apple magazine, MacFormat.
Christopher Phin, editor of Tap!, said: "The iOS platform is as revolutionary, exciting and filled with promise as the original Macintosh or PC was last century.
"But it’s already hard to find the truly great apps and games from the tens of thousands on the App Store. We’ll do the hard work on readers’ behalf, and, through reviews, tutorials and more, help everyone’s iPhone, iPad or iPod touch reach its full potential."
Stuart Anderton, publishing director of Future’s computing and consumer electronics portfolio, said: "The consumer needs an expert guide to find their way through the maelstrom of products and software – Tap! is that guide."
