Funny or Die hands ad task to Sky Digital Media

LONDON - Hit US website Funnyordie.com has launched a UK version, with the backing of Little Britain comedians Matt Lucas and David Walliams. Sky Digital Media, the broadcaster's digital sales house will sell advertising across the site, as part of a partnership between the website and Sky.

The US site was created by comedians Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy and combines user-generated video with original, exclusive content from a host of high profile comedians.

Sky has struck a partnership deal with the website, which will combine UK specific clips with the best of the content from the US site.

The partnership will see Sky.com promoting selected Funny or Die content across its network of sites, including exclusive advance preview clips of Little Britain USA.

In addition to the content partnership, Sky Digital Media will exclusively handle ad sales for Funny or Die's UK operation from launch, offering banners, skyscrapers, leaderboards and MPU's across the site.
