FT launches section dedicated to UK smaller companies

LONDON - The Financial Times is to launch a new page in its Companies and Markets section, dedicated to coverage of UK smaller companies.

From today, the page will appear devoted to covering small- and medium-sized companies in the UK, including those listed on the Alternative Investment Market. The new content on smaller companies will also appear on .

The UK edition of the FT is undertaking a programme of further small design and layout changes to include clearer labelling of the national news pages, sections on Business and Economy, and Politics and Policy, and the introduction of a page on Business Life.

Andrew Gowers, editor of the FT, said: "Small companies are the heartbeat of British business and, with a growing number of them listing on AIM, we look forward to devoting more space to the performance of UK SMEs and covering the issues affecting them."
