The magazine will be published four times a year from Saturday September 25. It will appear stapled inside the Saturday edition, then again as a standalone supplement the following Wednesday to target weekday readers.
The FT claims that the 32-page magazine will offer an intelligent and informative look at how people live today.
Future editions will look at issues such as the rise of the elite property developer, the effect on the property market of the UK's unique council housing sector, and the inside story on television property shows.
The new supplement will be supported by in-house advertising in the newspaper and on .
Ben Hughes, worldwide advertising director, said: "The Financial Times is the first UK national to release a glossy property magazine and we are delighted to be offering this unique proposition to our advertising clients."
