Freemans, established in 1905, selected Webloyalty to help drive business to its online catalogue stores freemans.co.uk, grattan.co.uk and lookagain.co.uk via a shopper discounts and rewards program.

Webloyalty works with online businesses to generate revenue by providing customers with reward programs, such as shopper discounts and rewards, which, for a £10 monthly fee, provides online members with discounts, cash-back vouchers for repeat patronage and shopping protection, including warranties and delivery guarantees.

Martin Child, managing director Europe for Webloyalty, said a maturing market and increasingly savvy customers meant there was "a demand for more sophisticated revenue strategies".

Child said: "Webloyalty's model will help retailers like Freemans create a secondary revenue stream from their web pages with minimal effort required by them to implement the programme."

A spokesperson for Freemans, said: "We were looking to monetise our confirmation page, but the benefit of partnering with Webloyalty means that as well as this, we can also offer our cost-conscious customers extra value."

The online business of Freemans was ranked 37th in customer satisfaction according to a 2009 Foresee study of the top 40 UK retail websites.
