The team will compete under the name of Brawn GP when the new season starts in Australia on 29 March. The team is yet to announce any commercial or sponsorship ties, although Brawn has revealed that its engines will be supplied by Mercedes-Benz High Performance Engines in Brixworth, Northamptonshire.

Brawn has also announced that former Honda F1 drivers Rubens Barrichello and Briton Jenson Button will continue to drive for the team.

Honda announced in December it was pulling out of the sport, citing poor car sales. The team spent £148m last season on developing its cars, but only scored 14 points from 18 races.
