Speaking to Event, English said the company will focus on showcasing under-used and lesser-known venues in the UK by creating glamorous events at them.

English said her aim is to stage an event every two months, and she plans to use her connections in the music industry to secure high-profile acts at her events.

Her first event will be a summer ball at Whitstable Castle on 30 August, which will feature singers Dionne Bromfield, Natalie Coyle and Xara Vaughan. The evening will begin with a champagne and canapé reception, and a string quartet in the castle gardens.

English said: "I am excited and honoured to have the support of such amazing artists in raising the profile of beautiful but underutilised venues. English Events seeks to provide high quality entertainment in picturesque English venues."
