Focus looks for new chief after Parsons leaves

BRISTOL - BBC Magazines Bristol is hunting for a new editor for its science and technology magazine Focus, following the resignation of Paul Parsons.

Focus looks for new chief after Parsons leaves

Parsons had been editor of Focus for four years, and led the title to its seventh consecutive ABC rise last August. He stood down to concentrate on his own writing projects and freelance work.

The role is expected to attract considerable interest. Focus was recently named as PPA’s Consumer Specialist Magazine of the Year 2007 and has since been short-listed for three PTC New Journalist of the Year Awards.

Publisher Andrew Davies will be handling the appointment. He said: “The magazine has never been in better shape, and we’re looking for a talented new Editor who will be able grab this success and run with it.”
