The travel company, which last held a review of its media arrangements in 2009, has approached agencies and invited them to pitch for the account. Total Media has been working with the company for more than five years and is re-pitching for the business.

The review is being led by Shannon Watson, head of marketing operations at the Flight Centre UK Group. Watson said: "Every couple of years we conduct a review to make sure we have the best partners on board."

As well as the flagship Flight Centre brand, the review includes work on other brands in the Flight Centre Group including First and Business Class, Round The World Experts, Corporate Traveller and travel management company FCM.

The Flight Centre channels most of its media spend into press activity. It handles its pay per click and search optimisation activity in-house, as well as its creative work. It does not spend any money in radio or TV.

The travel brand has given a deadline for agency proposals of 29 July. Presentations are scheduled for the week commencing 8 August.
