With Chelsea Flower Show just around the corner, Event has scouted out some of the best foliage focused venues for those looking to bring a bit of the outdoors to their events.

Princess of Wales Conservatory

Located in the heart of Kew Gardens the Prince of Wales Conservatory is the most complex glasshouse Kew has to offer. Ideal for evening reception drinks, the venue can host up to 200 guests for a drink and canapé reception. Guests can explore the glasshouse and spot the free-roaming Chinese Water Dragons and famed rare orchids.

The venue can be coupled with other Kew venues such as the Cambridge Cottage or the Orangery to allow guests to have a dining experience as well as a drinks reception.

Sky Garden

With panoramic views over London and exotic plants sprouting everywhere, exclusive hire at Sky Garden includes all public spaces across levels 35 and 36, which includes the City Garden and Sky Pod. The venue can host up to 300 guests seated and 475 for reception drinks and canapés. There is also the opportunity to opt for ‘Event Enhancers’ which include production, floral displays and bespoke food and beverage offers.

The Roof Gardens


The venue offers exclusive access to three rooftop gardens. The Spanish Garden, based on Alhambra in Granada, boasts striking colours and a modern layout. The Tudor Garden is comprised of three courtyards joined by Tudor-style arches and plants which would be recognised in Tudor England. The English Woodland has a variety of colourful flowers and 75 year-old trees, and four resident flamingos.

The venue can host up to 500 guests, and if that is not enough it can be coupled with the Babylon restaurant to create space for 650 guests. There is a choice of catering packages from a BBQ to a three-course menu.

The Walled Garden

This outdoor venue features a permanent marquee complete with double doors, chandeliers and ceiling drapes. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, guests can explore a woodland walkway which leads to a display of colourful wild flowers. The marquee is fully heated and can host up to 220 seated guests.

RHS Garden Wisley

Set in the landscape of Surrey the RHS Garden Wisley has a variety of spaces on offer. The Glasshouse is ideal for spotting rare plants and flowers and provides a beautiful backdrop for an event. Available for evening hire from 6pm to midnight, the venue seats 110 guests and can host up to 250 for a drinks reception.
