Chelsea in Bloom, an alternative to the other famous flower show in Chelsea, will see the streets and retailers' shops in the London borough transformed with spectacular floral installations.

The event aims to immerse visitors in the excitement of Rio with this year’s flamboyant carnival theme, where more than 37 retailers will compete to create stunning displays made of fresh flowers, spilling from store windows onto pavements.

The six-day event, taking place from 23-28 May, in association with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, will offer visitors complementary rickshaw rides and the chance to enjoy drinks at a pop-up gin bar in Sloane Square, while floral-themed events and menus will feature throughout Chelsea’s stores and restaurants.

A ginormous peacock and parrot, made entirely with fresh blooms, will be on display, with retailers including Smythson, La Perla, Browns and Liz Earle set to turn the area into a floral paradise.
