Five confirms Life rebrand

LONDON - Five has confirmed the rebrand of its digital channel Five Life, announcing it will be renamed Fiver as it repositions itself as a younger-skewing entertainment channel.

The move comes ahead of a brand refresh of all of Five's channels in the coming months, starting with Fiver and Five US, and finishing with a refresh of the main channel later in the year.

From the end of April, Five Life will have a new on and off-air look, with newly acquired and commissioned programmes.

The new on-air look will reference popular culture and will change to reflect seasonal and topical events.

Fiver has acquired VH1 series Celebrity Rehab and a second series of Dirt, starring Courtney Cox. It has also acquired rights to show Sex and the City.

A marketing campaign has been developed by VCCP to support the refresh, with the media planned by Vizeum.
