The company, which also operates in Italy, Spain, Germany, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, said its new London base on Henrietta Street in Covent Garden will help to enhance the relationship between Filmmaster and the headquarters of the most important European multi-national corporations. It will also act as a strategic unit to help the company follow all major international projects.
Antonio Abete, Filmmaster Events chief executive, said: "The new opening in London is not our final objective: it is a step forward in the process of internationalisation on which we have been working on and on which we are developing our business.
"The recent partnership with IEN - Italian Entertainment Network group - gives us more reasons to export Made in Italy and Filmmaster expertise in Europe and throughout the world. We expanded our business areas in 2014 and, thanks to the know-how acquired in almost 40 years of experience, we produced our first permanent show, dedicated to cinema industry."
Andrea Francisi, chief operation officer at Filmmaster Events, added: "The London branch will have a strategic role and will become our bridge between east and west. It will be a privileged observatory from which to follow all major international events. It will allow us to stay closer to our clients and to be able to be more prompt and efficient in answering our partners’ demands."
Filmmaster Events has produced a number of large-scale events including the Turin 2006 Winter Olympic and Paralympic ceremonies, the New Delhi Commonwealth Games in 2010, the opening ceremony of Juventus Stadium in 2011 and the London 2012 flag handover ceremony.
