
Last Friday (1 May) saw the wheel light up in a pie chart to represent the main political parties discussed on Facebook, while Saturday and Sunday showcased the parties discussed by men and women respectively.
Other statistics to be displayed include the top five election-related issues discussed on the social network and the main political leaders discussed. Bompass & Parr is keeping the display on the night of the general election under wraps.
Facebook will source its data from approximately 52 million interactions, such as a like, share or comment. Each light show begins at 9.30pm.
Elizabeth Linder, government and politics specialist at Facebook, said: "Politics is huge on Facebook - we expect it to be the most-discussed topic in the UK this year. We’re excited to be able to bring this conversational election to life in the heart of London using our data and the iconic Coca-Cola London Eye."
