Bompas & Parr to decipher food omens with Perdiz Magazine

Culinary experience company Bompas & Parr has teamed up with Perdiz Magazine to host an interactive lecture on the art and style of finding omens in food.

The talk will take place tonight (24 August) in The Print is Dead Library at The Punch Room of The London Edition Hotel.

Sam Bompas, co-founder of Bompas & Parr, will give an interactive talk on the greatest techniques of food-orientated fortune telling since the dawn of time.

Guests will be able to learn the ritual of egg cleansing, or limpías, at the event. This involves running a raw egg all over the body while burning insence, then cracking it to read the person’s fortune.

Following Bompas’ talk, fortune teller Cibelle Cavalli Bastos will revive her alter ego, Sonja Khalecallon. Visitors to her performance will be invited into a ‘space of experimentation’, featuring one-on-one therapeutic conversations, group meditation and readings.

Perdiz promises an evening that will leave visitors feeling cleansed, inspired and with a new understanding of using food for future-telling.
