
Capello will appear on all take-home packs of Carlsberg and Carlsberg Export alongside players Rio Ferdinand, Steven Gerrard, David James and Jermaine Defoe. Ex-captain John Terry will not feature in the designs.
It is believed to be the first time the image of an England manager has been used in this way and reflects the popularity of the Italian boss with fans. The move will mean that Carlsberg, which sponsors the England team, will be the only grocery brand using Capello's image.
Later this year the brewer will run a TV ad campaign, starring a number of English sporting legends. It has already launched the site, , which calls on members of the public to record and send in their attempt at ‘the best team talk in the world'.
