Jonathan Hill, head of IMG's football division in Europe, will take charge of Wembley's marketing efforts as the marketing and communications director of Wembley National Stadium, a wholly owned subsidiary of the FA.
Hill's brief will be to develop and implement a commercial and marketing strategy for Wembley, which is due to reopen in early 2006, nearly six years after the last football match was played there.
His focus will include the recruitment of commercial partners for the stadium, although the FA will not be able to bring in a title sponsor under the terms of its contract with Sport England.
Hill will also manage the hospitality and premium seat programmes and will spearhead a marketing campaign to promote the stadium and its image.
