Eyeconomy, the online media agency, is plotting an online ad push
for the launch of a local directory service called e-Street.
Media director Jon Clarke and planner Jenny Leahy are executing four
pre-launch internet campaigns for e-Street and are likely to oversee a
more mainstream online push in the autumn.
The first project will run from 20 July to 5 August. Clarke and Leahy
have bought banners on gay sites The Rainbow Network and Gay 365,
community chat site Live4Now, Yahoo!, and the Ministry of Sound
website.
They have also opted for an e-mail campaign through Guardian
Unlimited.
The pair are currently focusing on London sites as the service will
initially only feature information about the capital. It will roll out
to other cities at a later date.
e-Street is a local directory service that allows the user to download
information on restaurants, shops, theatres and cinemas in their
area.
The privately owned company is also offering the service on mobile
phones.
’The budget is substantial for a pre-launch campaign,’ said Ray Taylor,
managing director of Eyeconomy.
