The new service uses Experian's national Canvasse and Canvasse Lifestyle data to provide date of birth information for the UK population.
It also claims to: improve response rates by helping direct marketers to precisely target prospects according to their socio and geo-demographic groups by flagging up lifestyle information and social status; tailor offers to appeal to prospects' financial status and purchasing power; and also identify prospects' contact preferences, such as direct mail, telephone or email.
Peter Thompson, Experian marketing services' division sales director, said: "Canvasse Birthday Selections guarantees that DM users find the most receptive audience for birthday related campaigns. Our new service allows direct marketers to create highly-targeted and personalised campaigns by taking advantage of our segmentation and modelling tools."
